Camming: Money, Power, and Pleasure in the Sex Work Industry

Please join us for the NYC launch of Angela Jones’ new book, Camming: Money, Power, and Pleasure in the Sex Work Industry. Camming uses an intersectional and transnational framework to capture the experiences of a wide range of people working in the erotic webcam industry. Using progressive stacking throughout the book, Camming centers the experiences of people of color, Black women, in particular, trans women, and people with disabilities. The book focuses on how these sex workers challenge overlapping systems of oppression and find community and pleasure online.
