Decolonial Mapping Toolkit: Workshop Series

The Decolonial Mapping Toolkit confronts the idea that mapping, since at least the so-called “Age of Discovery” beginning in the 15th century, has been an inherently colonial process and tool. This workshop aims to outline a series of provocations and questions that geographically diverse arrays of groups can activate to decolonize mapping. This is the last in a series of semi-public workshops around colonization, mapmaking, and agency that will guide the production of the toolkit.
