We’ll watch Mann v. Ford, a documentary describing Ford’s legacy of environmental contamination in northern New Jersey. At present, toxic chemicals still plague a neighboring indigenous community, the Ramapough Lenape Nation. After the screening, we’ll discuss ongoing challenges the Ramapough face and how NYC residents can support them. Despite intense repression from the Mahwah Township, the Ramapough persist in sharing their culture and fighting pipelines that threaten our common water supplies.
