“This Would Be Easier If You’d Understand” is a short film that explores the narrative of a young woman seeking a support system after she’s had an abortion. But because this is such a contentious issue the people in her life don’t know how to help her. This is a story that generally isn’t shown in the media. And often, if it is picked up, the storyline tends to focus on a will-she-won’t-she debate rather than showing a character deal with the fallout of the experience. “This Would be Easier if You’d Understand” hopes to open up dialogue surrounding these issues. The film was recently successfully funded by the Indiegogo platform.
