A Virtual Book Launch Party! Join author and artist Bishakh Som in a lively rdiscussion with friend and fellow author Jeanne Thornton to celebrate the recent release of Som’s graphic memoir, Spellbound.

The meticulous artwork of transgender artist Bishakh Som gives us the rare opportunity to see the world through another lens. With its sharp humor and unapologetic sincerity, this book illuminates a path of self-discovery that is forged in both love and loss.

Bishakh Som who grew up in New York City, but whose parents were originally from India, received a master’s degree in architecture from Harvard University and worked for many years in that field, most notably at I.M. Pei’s New York office. Bishakh’s work has appeared in The New Yorker, We’re Still Here (the first all-trans comics anthology), The Boston Review, Buzzfeed, and The Huffington Post.
