Junauda Petrus-Nasah is a Black-Caribbean writer, pleasure activist, filmmaker and performance artist born on Dakota land. Her work centers queerness, Black-diasporic-futurism, ancestral healing, sweetness, and liberation. Her writing appears in Pleasure Activism among other publications. Her first YA novel, The Stars and The Blackness Between Them is about queer young Black love across the diaspora, mass incarceration, astrology, ancestral magic, Whitney Houston and trusting your sacredness despite oppression and heartbreak.
