Feature Writers: Amy Barone & Amanda Bradley
Amy Barone’s new but yet to be published collection of sixty-one poems, We Became Summer, features pierces imbued with color and humor that touch on the themes of music, nature, family conflict, and the essence of place. Her ultimate goal is to write and publish poetry that appeals to a broad mix of readers.
Amanda Bradley’s recent book from NYQ books, Queen Kong, opens with a section of prosy autobiographical poems chronicling childhood through graduation from college followed by a middle section of lyric poems. The last section of the book is a collection of feminist poems that she wrote in dialogue with famous feminists across history.
